With summer just about here you may have been planning to build a new patio. You might need a permit to build your new patio, depending on where you live and what your plans are. If you happen to need a permit you need to apply a few week ahead of time.

Patios can be built in many shapes like square, oval, rectangle, or a couple of these shapes togeather. Also you should consider what size you would like to have you patio. When you are thinking about the size of your patio you should consider what size would blend well with your home.

Every detail that comes to mind should be written down on paper. Once this is finished you may want to make an outline of where your patio is going to be on your lawn by ding this it gives you an ides of what it will look like in the end.

Next thing that need to be done is you need to decide what the patio is going to be made of.

Many people decide to have a patio cover this shades them while they are on their patio and helps keep the rain off. Each way has pros and cons but it is a good idea to have your patio covered.

When all of your decisions have been made you now need to hire a contractor. Be choosey in what one you do pick because you will be living with your new patio for years to come.
