We designed this pergola to block out the afternoon sun that beats down on the patio. We also designed the new flagstone patio and walk for our clients to have more useable yard space. There was an old wood deck we took out to make room for this back yard renovation.

We are adding planter beds with metal edging, river boulders, cedar mulch, various perennials, aspen and maple trees. We are also removinga large area of grass to install a block retaining wall to level the yard for a childrens play area. Other projects include installing a fence gate and refinishing a redwood deck, and porch by sanding and staining tje wood.

Building a Cedar Pergola

www.patioandhomeimprovement.com. We’re building a custom cedar pergola in Broomfield Colorado. We just finished staining all of the cedar and now we’re putting it all together. We used 4×10 western red cedar for our rafters and 4×12 cedar for the beam. We used a 6×6 cedar post that we will trim with a 1×10 to give the posts a larger look. The top pieces are a 2×2 cedar for shading the sun. Next we will install stone veneer around the post base.

Custom Outdoor Kitchen-Pergola-Water Feature
